Le lichen prend racine comme Rosa prend le bus (création 2027)

A roaming performance featuring dance, song, and acrobatics in public spaces

This show is a grand poetic gesture. It tells the stories of ordinary people—of those who knew how to keep their inner fire alive without letting it burn out; of those who learned to read the lips of women who lie to protect themselves*; of those who lie to survive; and of those who hear the unspeakable in their daily lives. It bears witness to the fact that our female-led legacies (*matrimoines*) are manifold, drawing from everyday actions—acts of care, avoidance, and survival, as well as acts of mutual aid and solidarity.

* Muda Maxana, in "Brouillon sans titre" (Untitled Draft); Congolese writer and artist

In connection with the local area where it performs, the company regularly invites local groups—such as amateur circus artists, choir members, and others—to join the show through artistic workshops held prior to the performance. Highly adaptable, the production can also be tailored to the local context; a specific rehearsal period before the show allows for the integration of local female-led legacies and the creation of bespoke material inspired by figures from the region.
